SOUTHCENTRAL FOUNDERS' DAY: November 3-5th, 2023

FAQ

 

  • What is Founders Day?

    • This is a yearly celebration in honor of the founding members of our fraternity who in 1883 met and formed the basis of what would become Phi Delta Chi. The Texas Alumni Chapter celebrates this each year in Dallas/Ft Worth TX area and invites all alumni, collegiates and candidates from the Southcentral Region to attend and celebrate this momentous day for our fraternity.​

 

  • What can I expect?​

    • A weekend full of fun events and social interactions with collegiates and alumni from chapters around the Southcentral Region. The itinerary will be posted on our site soon and will be sent out to all chapters.​

  • What is included with my registration cost?​

    • All registration plans will cover lunch and the entrance ticket to our main social event at Bolder Adventure Park in Grand Prairie, TX and a Founders Day collectible challenge coin.

    • Challenge coins are only included in collegiate and alumni registrations, any extra coins will be available for purchase.​

 

  • Why are there two different registration prices?​

    • We understand not all paid activities appeal to everyone and we want to make a more budget friendly option to our collegiate and alumni Brothers.

 

  • What is the difference between the Ralph Saroyan and Prescott plans?

    • The Prescott Plan - includes lunch, a Texas Alumni Chapter Coin, full day use of the Bolder Adventure park, access to play area, blaster zone, bumper cars, synthetic ice skating, tubing slides, climbing, and ropes course.

    • The Ralph Saroyan Plan- Includes all of the above listed as well as access to the free fall, zip lining, and via ferrata sections

  • Is there a hotel reservation block for the weekend?

    • To create a more budget friendly event for our collegiates and alumni, this year the Texas Alumni Chapter will only be providing a recommendation of three hotels in the area each at different price points to best fit your needs and accommodations. See Founders Day 2023 under Events.

 

  • Can I bring a non PDC guest?

    • Yes, guests can join in the festivities. If they wish to participate and join us for the Bolder Adventure social there is an option on our site to purchase.

 

  • Is this event family friendly?

    • Yes! We have chosen locations which can appeal to Brother’s of all ages and their family members. 

 

  • What should I bring?

    • Yourself, as many of your chapter Brothers as you can and most importantly bring your Phi Delta Chi spirit.

    • PDC events are always a great way to fundraise and sell your chapters merch so bring whatever you wish to advertise and sell.

    • Don’t forget your challenge coin! (challenge coin included with all registrations, AAAE )

    • Come prepared with times, dates and details of events your chapter is hosting this year to invite everyone in attendance and make your events bigger and better! 

 

  • Is there an itinerary?

    • Yes, our itinerary can be found on our website and in our social media page​

 

  • ​What is the dress attire?​

    • Bring comfortable clothes and shoes for the outdoor and Bolder Adventure Park activities on Saturday. 

    • This year our dinner on Saturday will be at Texas Live! and will be very casual, there may be outdoor seating so dress for the weather to enjoy the evening with us.
